This was Cool...

I am running a marathon later this year so I have been reading a lot of back issues of Runner’s World. In one of these back issues, I came across a picture of a former Howard County resident and brother of Ho Co Exec Ken Ulman, who ran the NYC Marathon with Lance Armstrong. I don’t know and have never met Ken Ulman or his brother, I just happen to remember from Ken’s campaign website that his brother was affiliated with the Lance Armstrong Foundation. It's not everyday you see a local person in a national magazine:

But about a mile into it, he [Armstrong] broke away from the two members of Team Lance (the traveling posse he calls "we") who were sweating alongside him on this bright Saturday morning: Doug Ulman, the director of the LAF, and Greg Isaacs, a Hollywood-based "trainer to the stars"….

The quote above refers to a training run. In the actual Marathon, Mr. Ulman had an impressive finish time, not very far behind Lance. Way to go.

freemarket,
I like the new look. Much easier on my old eyeballs.
Good luck with your marathon!
