You know what they say about guys with big cars…


... they waste a lot of fuel. According to the Economist, about 30% of the cars and light trucks sold in the United States are four-wheel drive. What’s more, the average engine size of an automobile sold in the U.S. is 3.4 Liters, which is almost twice the size of the average engine in Germany. Not surprisingly, gas is much cheaper in the United States. Also not surprisingly, Americans use a disproportionate share of the world’s energy.
