More State Discrimination

The Massachusetts lawmakers have proposed an amendment to the state constitution that would define marriage as being between a man and a woman. What I want to know, is how do they know marriage is not between a white man and a white woman? Or a black man and an Asian woman? Where does this interest in marriage restriction come from? We get our answer from this exchange:

A person on the pro-gay marriage side held a sign that read, "Start Acting Like Christians." An opponent of gay marriage yelled from across the street, "We are Christians, just like you!"

I understand that Christians are wholesome people, but why must they be so intolerant?

Disclaimer: don’t open the “Christians are wholesome people” link at work. Instead, get back to work.
