Would you invest in a company that had serious weaknesses in financial reporting for the past ten years, to the extent that the auditors would not even express an opinion on its financial statements? Would you be worried that the auditors expressed concern that the assets of this company were not being properly safeguarded and it was not in compliance with certain laws and regulations? Well guess what, if you pay taxes, you have invested in this entity. It is our Federal Government.
