Outsource edition

I am outsourcing tonight's blogging activities to two other folks. The first is The Hedgehog Report, who notes the environmental hypocrisy of Ken Ulman's hybrid that sits unused as he is driven around in a Crown Victoria. This is one of the inherent problems with politics: the perception is always more important than the reality.

Speaking of environmental hypocrisy, at least one commenter on a recent Wordbones post shows that you can rail against anything in the name of environmental protection. Development in particular. This is one of the other inherent problems with politics: it is far too easy to spend someone else's money carelessly. I care deeply about the environment. In fact, I believe that one of the few legitimate uses of government regulation is environmental protection. However, you have to realize that we can't prevent every last bit of carbon from going into the air and still maintain a comfortable life. Disagree with me? Move to North Korea and bask in the darkness.
