Explore Mind Numbing Facts About Howard

There is nothing else going on in the local blogosphere, so I'll throw this question out there: how long do you expect the Explore Howard blog to continue to be published?

I don't read it often, but I have never seen a comment on it, nor does it seem to offer anything that you could not get from the Howard County Times. Since the same folks produce both, wouldn't it make more sense to let you add comments to articles in the online version of the HoCoTimes? All that the Explore Howard blog does is post objective and politically correct factual statements, just like a the non-editorial sections of a newspaper. I could not think of a more boring blog model. Couldn't they at least sex it up with some opinion pieces or something?

I swear to Buddha, Explore Howard must be the most uninteresting blog in the entire world.

That's all.

I have tried twice to leave a comment and I get a message that it was put in a "moderation queue". Neither one of these comments has appeared.

I agree, a useless site....

A useless blog based on the premise that you couldn’t post? Hm. Interesting concept.

I left a comment on Explore Howard earlier today, and it still has not shown up. Wouldn't it be funny if there is a whole bunch of comments in the queue, and no one is responsible for checking.

This is more exciting than anything we have in Carroll County.

Explore Howard is not a blog, in that their are authors with personal voices behind it; it's just reposting of print media written by journalists beholden to editors who are beholden to .... (advertisers? publicly traded companies? ridiculously PC readers?). Explore Howard is just using blog technology to post previously published articles. That's all. No news there. Unfortunately.
