Who let the Fox out?

I have to say, I am pleased with Greg Fox this week. He voted for the green legislation and he voted against the mindless “living wage” bill that will do nothing but cost Howard County $100,000 additional dollars a year (according to Calvin Ball’s estimate) in additional janitorial expense. Aside from some posturing about the green legislation being “gutted”, I’d say Fox played a good hand.

Regarding practical application of economics:

This was intensely fascinating – or maybe it’s just me. I remember the weekend that I discovered Freakanomics, I didn’t come up for air and carried the book outside while half attentive to the “watch me!” demands of parenthood while catching a sentence and positioning the book so that it was easy to glance down and catch another sentence.

I believe it was this blog that lead me to the Freakanomics blog, which lead me to this audio interview that offers answers and interesting positions on politics, labor, education, a lot on blogs, and so many other topics.

In case it's not supplied in the podcast, Tyler Cowen blogs daily at Marginal Revolution, which I read daily.
