Build, Build, Build!

Good news for the environment and the future residents of the Plaza Tower:

A Circuit Court judge's decision this week clears the way for construction of a 22-story condominium tower in downtown Columbia, according to the building's developer.

"The issues surrounding the (condominium) are resolved and we can move forward," said William Rowe, a vice president at WCI Communities Inc., which is developing the high-rise Plaza Residences on Lake Kittamaqundi, in Columbia's Town Center.

Yay, density! A judge ruled that the four folks who were legally contesting the Tower lacked standing based simply on the fact that they are County residents.

Now build the darn thing!
