When American's start demanding them in the market..Detroit takes a few years to catch up.
Meanwhile, Ford Motor Company lost $5.8 billion last quarter. That amounts to a loss of $2.7 million an hour. Ouch.
Toyota Motor recorded group net profit of 426.8 billion yen ($3.6 billion) in the three months ended Dec. 31, up from 397.6 billion yen the same period the previous year.
