Anonymous Comments

I have decided to require those who wish to comment on this blog to register with Blogger. I made this decision in an effort to tell one commenter from another. Anyone can still say whatever they want with complete anonymity (after all, I am anonymous and it is my blog). Someone posted an anonymous comment on another blog which stated the following:

“Geez, Freemarket, new land speed record for shutting down free speech, opting to quash anonymous posts.”

Whoever this person is, they are completely incorrect. Bringing free speech into my decision is a red herring. As I have stated, anyone can say what they want with complete anonymity, I just want to be able to identify one anonymous commenter from another. In no way does this prevent anyone from speaking their mind. What this person above is really saying is that they want no accountability whatsoever for the comments they make.

Your Blog. Your Policy. Nice start with the writing. The story of the DC school system is disturbing.

You may want to consider a disclaimer/rules post. I don't recall if blogspot has tabbing features or not.
